1. Excessive Jump Stitches
Jump stitches are the long connecting stitches between design elements. A poorly digitized DST file has too many of them — creating a mess of loose threads on the back of your fabric and increasing the risk of thread breaks.

2. Wrong Stitch Density
Every fabric requires a specific stitch density. Too dense and the fabric puckers. Too loose and the design looks thin and faded.

Underlay stitches are the foundation layer beneath your design. Without proper underlay, the top stitches sink into the fabric and the design loses definition.

Every color change requires the machine to stop and the operator to re-thread. A well-digitized DST file sequences colors efficiently to minimize stops. A poorly digitized file creates unnecessary stops that slow production and increase error risk.
